Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment-Health Professions Student Training - UI College of Medicine

SBIRT New Horizons trained medical students to screen patients for unhealthy substance use, provide brief interventions at the point of care, and make referrals for specialized treatment. SBIRT trained medical students at the University of Iowa College of Medicine and were assessed with an objective structured clinical examination.
